Hesperia Hit-And-Run Leaves Pedestrian Injured

Woman struck and seriously Injured by hit-and-run driver in Hesperia.

Hesperia, CA (October 22, 2024) A woman was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver in Hesperia on Friday night, October 11th, 2024. IT happened at approximately 7:00 p.m. as she walked along Escondido Avenue, not far from Kaiser Permanente Way. The victim, reportedly, remembers nothing about the accident, according to her father.

As a woman walked along Escondido Avenue on October 11th, a dark-colored SUV approached, driven by a man, according to witnesses. The vehicles suddenly struck the pedestrian, knocking her to the ground, before fleeing the scene. Witnesses told police officers that the vehicle left with a large dent on the front, following the accident.

Emergency personnel arrived and found the woman on the ground with life-threatening injuries. She was rushed to a local hospital, via ambulance, where she remains in stable condition. Officers are working to determine what vehicle struck her and, in turn, are looking to find the driver responsible for this hit-and-run.
