SAN FRANCISCO, CA (NOVEMBER 7, 2023): A police pursuit in San Francisco resulted in a crash with multiple civilian vehicles and pedestrians last week, injuring three people.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the pursuit initiated as a San Francisco Police Department office attempted to pull over a vehicle on the Bay Bridge as it entered the city at around 10:30 p.m. Instead of complying, the vehicle sped off and exited the 80 Freeway on Ninth Street.

The suspect then collided with at least two vehicles and two pedestrians on the sidewalk of the intersection of 11th Street and Folsom Street.
Emergency personnel quickly arrived to the scene, where they discovered both pedestrians with injuries. Paramedics rushed the victims to the hospital, where one is suffering from major injuries and the other with minor. Further information regarding their condition has not yet been released.
A passenger of the civilian vehicle was also injured, but did not need hospitalization.
A description of the suspect or their vehicle has not been released. Details regarding arrests have also not been made available as of yet.
Drugs and alcohol were not mentioned as contributing factors in initial reports, but an investigation is still pending.
