Chino, CA (October 21, 2024) 31-year-old Jose Nunez, a Chino resident, was struck and killed by a vehicle in Chino On Sunday, October 13th, 2024. The tragic accident happened at approximately 7:41 a.m. on Kimball Avenue.

As the man walked, a vehicle approached, and for unknown reasons, struck the pedestrian. The impact knocked Nunez to the ground where he lay, motionless. The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped and waited for authorities. The driver was uninjured, but cooperated with officers during the investigation of the accident.

The Chino Police Department arrived at the scene with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and found the victim on the ground with fatal injuries. Sadly, Jose Nunez had been killed in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene by officials. Officers are investigating the accident in an effort to determine what happened to cause this fatal pedestrian collision.
