Julio Raygoza, 61, Dies In Crash in Bakersfield

On the evening of July 4, a 61-year-old man identified as Julio Raygoza was struck and killed by a vehicle in Bakersfield.

The tragic event happened around 9:04 p.m. on westbound Highway 178 east of Beale Avenue.

California Highway Patrol spoke to the driver, who reported that Raygoza ran directly in the path of his car and he was unable to avoid him.
