Man Found Deceased on 110 Fwy.; Likely Hit-and-Run

Los Angeles, CA (July 5, 2024) A very sad discovery was made in the early hours today on the Harbor Freeway in downtown Los Angeles, also known as the 110. A man was found deceased on the right shoulder of an offramp.

The police were alerted to the incident at about 1:30 a.m. Friday in the northbound lanes. The offramp was apparently just south of Sixth Street.

California Highway Patrol reported that somewhere nearby, they found a vehicle with significant damage on the front end. It’s not clear how far from the deceased male this car was found, or if a driver was inside at the time of discovery. It’s presumed that this car might have hit the man who was found on the shoulder of the road, but at the time of writing, reports have not confirmed this.

An investigation is pending to see if the vehicle in question had something to do with the tragedy.
