San Diego, CA (September 14, 2023) A man was killed on Wednesday night when he was hit by an Amtrak train. The San Diego Police Department said they received the call shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday night.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Grape Street and California Street. San Diego Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Jason King said they found the victim upon arrival. Emergency crews were called and the man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Sheriff’s Transit Enforcement Unit is investigating this accident.
