ORANGEVALE, CA (OCTOBER 1, 2023): An Orangevale pedestrian accident left a 40-year-old man dead on Saturday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was walking outside the crosswalk on Main Avenue, just south of Greenback Lane around 7:20 p.m. when he was struck along the darkened road.

Reports indicate that the vehicle was traveling around 25 MPH when it impacted the man. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Upon arrival, paramedics reported the pedestrian dead at the scene.
The cause of the collision remains unclear. The CHP will continue to investigate this fatal Orangevale pedestrian accident.
