SAN DIEGO, CA (November 9, 2022) – A 68-year-old man was struck by a car on Balboa Avenue and suffered non-life-threatening injuries today in Clairemont Mesa.
The victim was walking north to south across the 6100 block of Balboa Avenue, against a do not cross symbol, a little after midnight when he was struck by a silver Hyundai Sonata, the San Diego Police Department said.

The driver, a 60-year-old man, who was not impaired, was in an eastbound lane of Balboa Avenue approaching Mt. Alifan Drive when the victim entered the intersection on a green light, police said.
The victim suffered fractures to his right tibia and right pelvis, authorities said. SDPD’s Traffic Division is investigating the collision.
