SUN VALLEY, CA (September 28, 2022) – A pedestrian identified as Nicholas Ferlini, 32, was sadly struck and killed by a train in Sun Valley tonight.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called at 7:16 p.m. to the area of 9449 San Fernando Road, near Sheldon Street, on reports of the collision and found Ferlini down on the train tracks, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Paramedics pronounced Nicholas Ferlini dead at the scene.
No one on the train was injured, and the cause of the collision is under investigation, Stewart said.
