Arleta, CA (October 27, 2023) – A pedestrian was severely injured on Tuesday, October 24th, in a disturbing hit-and-run on Terra Bella Street in Arleta, California. The unusual incident was first reported at around 11:45 p.m., with police being sent to the intersection of Terra Bella and Beachy Avenue.
According to police reports a pedestrian was struck by a blue Hyundai in the 9600 block of Beachy Avenue. After the incident, the driver of the Hyundai fled the scene in their vehicle. The collision seemed to be preceded by some kind of altercation, where a person was threatened with a deadly weapon. Police had already been called to the area for this report before the accident occurred. It is unclear how and if the two incidents are related.

Paramedics were quickly called to the scene to aid the pedestrian, who had suffered injuries in the crash. The victim was transported to the hospital, but their condition is currently unknown.
