Central Valley, Las Vegas, NV (July 22, 2024) The Central Valley community was shocked and saddened following a hit-and-run accident that claimed a pedestrian’s life. The fatal accident took place near the intersection of Paradise Road and Harmon Avenue, right around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 21st. The driver then fled the scene, officers reported, leaving the pedestrian to die.

30 minutes into a new day, Sunday, July 21st, 2024, a pedestrian attempted to cross the street on Harmon Avenue, near the intersection of Paradise Road, in the central valley of Las Vegas. As the pedestrian crossed, a mid-sized SUV was heading west on Harmon Avenue. The driver had no time to react when they saw the pedestrian, and ended up striking them with their vehicle. The force threw the pedestrian into the air before they landed on the roadway, according to witnesses. The driver of the vehicle then hit the gas and fled the scene, officers said.
