Palm Desert, CA (August 10, 2023) A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run on Wednesday morning in Palm Desert. Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Stg. Matt Martinez said the accident occurred around 10:16 a.m. near Country Club Drive and Barrington Drive.

Martinez said they found the victim’s body laying on the eastbound lanes of Country Club Drive. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle that hit the pedestrian drove away and authorities still have no suspects in custody.
They do not know if drugs or alcohol were a factor in this collision. The accident is being investigated by the Palm Desert Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team.
