Reports indicated that the accident took place around 8:45 a.m., claiming the pedestrian’s life.
A man was walking near the University of California San Francisco Parnassus Campus when he was struck by a white dump truck, reports indicated. The victim was walking near the intersection of Stanyan Street and Parnassus Avenue when they were struck, officers reported.
First responders arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian on the ground. They did everything they could to try and save him, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries. Sadly, authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.
Officers are working to determine what caused this fatal pedestrian accident in San Francisco. Witnesses reported seeing the white dump truck being towed from the scene.
