Los Angeles, CA (August 5, 2024) – A pedestrian was tragically killed yesterday, August 4, when he was struck by a vehicle as he tried to cross the Hollywood Freeway (101) south of Hollywood.
The crash was reported at about 2:28 a.m. California Highway Patrol responded to the northbound freeway and Vermont Avenue. Los Angeles Fire Department arrived and sadly found the man, identified as 50-year-old Michael Miller, lying in one of the lanes deceased.
No other injuries were reported. The CHP issued a SigAlert that closed the northbound freeway for hours as they investigated the cause of the collision.
