Sacramento, CA (July 6, 2024) The community of North Natomas was saddened as news spread of a pedestrian’s death in their community. The accident occurred on the fourth of July at approximately 4:15 a.m., as most of the community was still sleeping. The pedestrian was struck at the intersection of Radio Road and El Centro Road, officers reported.
It was early morning in Sacramento and the sun had yet to rise. A pedestrian walked through the community of North Natomas in the early morning darkness. As they walked, a vehicle approached. At approximately 4:15 a.m., at the intersection of Radio Road and El Centro Road, the pedestrian was struck by the vehicle. The force threw the pedestrian several feet before gravity pulled them down to the ground with a hard thud.

The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian on the ground, motionless. They began life-saving treatment on the victim, but sadly, it was too late. With heavy hearts, authorities pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene and called for a coroner. The driver of the vehicle stopped and cooperated with officials, according to reports.
