Orange, CA (November 3, 2023) A pedestrian lost his life when he was struck and killed while crossing the street on Wednesday, November 1st, according to the Orange Police Department. The tragic collision occurred just before 7:30 p.m. at the 300 block of East Lincoln Avenue.
The Orange Police Department and the Orange Fire Department arrived at the scene after receiving reports of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision. Upon arrival, they discovered the pedestrian on the ground. Initial reports revealed that the pedestrian had not been walking within the crosswalk, but was just north, outside of it, at the time of the accident. A Chevy Blazer was traveling west on Lincoln when the vehicle struck the pedestrian.

The pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident. Paramedics rushed him to a nearby hospital to receive treatment, but he was, sadly, pronounced dead at the hospital. The man driving the Chevy Blazer remained at the scene and cooperated with police officers.
Officers do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in this accident. The Orange Police Department’s Traffic Unit is leading the investigation to try and figure out what exactly happened in Orange. Lincoln Avenue was closed from Orange Olive Road to Glassell Street for a while as investigators worked the scene.
