Ontario, CA (October 23, 2023) A pedestrian was fatally struck on Etiwanda Avenue in Ontario on Monday morning, October 23rd. The California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred around 4:47 a.m. just south of San Bernardino Avenue.
Reports indicate that the collision occurred in the northbound lanes of Etiwanda Avenue and a witness called 911, according to officers. The caller told authorities that a gray, older-model Toyota Corolla hit a pedestrian in the road.

The San Berdardino County Sheriff’s Office and the California Highway Patrol both responded to the accident. Sadly, the pedestrian died at the scene within minutes of being hit. The vehicle involved sustained damage and was removed from the scene via tow truck for evidence.
The accident is currently being investigated to determine what exactly happened.
