50yo man struck and killed by vehicle in Ridgeview/Webster pedestrian accident in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA (October 3, 2022) – A 50-year-old man was killed by a vehicle today in a Ridgeview/Webster pedestrian accident as he walked across a street in San Diego, police said.

At 6:17 a.m. Sunday, the pedestrian was crossing the street at 1600 Euclid Avenue from the west side of the street to the east side, according to Officer Lawanda Fisher of the San Diego Police Department.

He was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on Euclid Avenue near the bike lane, the officer said. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The driver was not injured and alcohol was not a factor in the collision, Fisher said.

Traffic Division officers responded to the scene and were investigating the Ridgeview/Webster pedestrian accident.
