Robert Brown identified as man killed on 10 freeway accident

 LOS ANGELES, CA (August 3, 2022) – Robert Brown was identified as the pedestrian who was struck and killed in a vehicle collision on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway was identified today.

Officers from the California Highway Patrol were called to the eastbound Santa Monica Freeway west of La Brea Avenue around 3:58 a.m. Tuesday when they learned a pedestrian had been fatally hit by a vehicle, said CHP Officer Peter Nicholson.

Robert Brown, 67, was identified as the victim, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office. His city of residency was not immediately known.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.

The collision closed four lanes of the 10 Freeway while the CHP conducted its investigation.
