Vegas Pedestrian, Woman, 54, Killed on Mayorga Street

Pedestrian struck and killed in Van Nuys area of Los Angeles.

Las Vegas, NV (June 21, 2024) In at least the second reported Vegas pedestrian fatality from Thursday, a 54-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on the northbound lanes of Boulder Highway and Mayorga Street.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said that they believe the woman was trying to cross Boulder Highway from East to West. When she entered the northbound lane, she was struck by a vehicle. The incident reportedly occurred at about 10:54 p.m. last night.

The driver of the car did not stop. They fled the scene. When authorities and medics arrived, the woman was pronounced dead.

An investigation is ongoing. The police do not know where the hit-and-run driver is. They ask for anyone with information to call the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Collision Investigation Section.
