Visalia Pedestrian Badly Hurt After Crash on Walnut Ave.

Visalia, CA (July 10, 2024) A second pedestrian has been struck by a vehicle in Visalia in less than one week.

On July 2, a pedestrian was tragically killed by a vehicle at the intersection of Cameron Avenue and Mooney Boulevard right around 9:00 p.m. On Sunday, July 7, another pedestrian was hit.

Officers were dispatched to Demaree Street and Walnut Avenue around 2:06 p.m. that day, where they found a man lying in the road. He had suffered major injuries. Emergency crews rushed him to the hospital, but his current condition is unknown at the time of writing.

Visalia Police Department has reported that the driver of the car that hit the pedestrian remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
