SAN JOSE, CA (NOVEMBER 7, 2023): A female pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in an accident at an intersection in San Jose on Monday night.
According to San Jose authorities, the incident occurred at around 10 p.m. between Chesbro Avenue and Blossom Hill Road, when a vehicle struck the woman under unclear circumstances as she was walking.

Emergency personnel arrived shortly after, and discovered the woman with critical injuries. She was rushed to the hospital where she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries and died at the facility.
Further identifying information of the victim was not reported.
The driver that struck the woman remained on scene and cooperated with authorities. A description of the vehicle was not made immediately available.
This accident marks the 24th fatal pedestrian accident in San Jose this year.
