According to reports, the woman was unloading groceries from her car as a vehicle approached. It was 9:30 at night and darkness had spread over Reno. Suddenly, the vehicle struck the woman, knocking her to the ground. The driver of the at-fault vehicle then fled the scene, leaving the woman injured on the road. The groceries she dropped lay around her, reports indicated.
Officers with the Reno Police Department arrived at the scene and found the woman on the ground.
