1 Injured In Fresno Big Rig Collision On Clovis Avenue

Fresno, CA (September 4, 2024) A collision between a big rig and another vehicle left one person with injuries in Fresno. The accident occurred right around 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024, on Clovis Avenue, according to reports.

A Chrysler 300 was driving in the southbound lanes of Clovis Avenue at 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Headlights and street lights illuminated the path as drivers moved along the roadway. As the Chrysler drove, a big rig began turning onto eastbound Highway 180 from Clovis. As it began to turn, it slowed down. For reasons that remain unknown, the driver of the Chrysler continued at the same speed, slamming into the back of the big rig.

First responders arrived at the scene and found the driver of the Chrysler with significant injuries. They were placed in an ambulance and taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment. Reports indicated that the driver of the big rig was uninjured in this collision and cooperated with authorities. Officers gathered evidence and took statements before the Chrysler was hauled from the scene by a tow truck. Officers are working diligently to better understand what exactly caused this accident.
