The accident occurred on Wednesday morning, August 28th, 2024, right around 9:00 a.m. It happened at the intersection of Cloverfield Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard.
A KME Tractor Drawn Aerial Fire Truck from the Santa Monica Fire Department was reportedly involved in a four-vehicle crash. For reasons that remain unknown, the rear of the fire truck collided with the driver’s side of another vehicle while driving through Santa Monica on Wednesday morning. The force from the impact sent the car slamming into the driver’s side of the vehicle in the lane beside it. A fourth vehicle was also involved, according to reports.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the damaged vehicles blocking traffic. Officers had to close the roadway for hours, reports indicated.
