Fatal Semi-Truck Collision In Thousand Oaks

Thousand Oaks, CA (October 31, 2024) A tragic accident involving a semi-truck in Thousand Oaks claimed one life this morning. It happened on the Ventura 101 Freeway around 5:30 a.m., at Wendy Drive, according to reports.

The morning commute on Halloween Day turned deadly for one commuter on the 101 Freeway in Thousand Oaks. For reasons that remain a mystery, a semi-truck and another vehicle collided in the middle lane of the southbound Freeway. The devastating collision happened under the cover of darkness, mere minutes before 5:30 in the morning. Both vehicles sustained damage, but the passenger vehicle was completely destroyed, reports indicated.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found the two vehicles blocking the freeway. They hurried to both vehicles, ready to give life-saving treatment to anyone who had been injured. Sadly, they found one person with fatal injuries. With heavy hearts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities.

Officers continue to work this case in an effort to piece together what happened in Thousand Oaks on Halloween morning. Tow trucks were called to the scene to remove the damaged vehicles and crews cleaned up the debris and glass that covered the roadway.
