Cajon Pass, CA (October 7. 2024) A collision involving a big rig and a car occurred in Cajon Pass, causing injuries, on Tuesday evening, October 1st, 2024. It all happened on the 15 Freeway, not far from Blue Cut, officers reported. The vehicles collided just after 6:00 p.m. and officers stated that it could have been far worse than it was.
At this time, officers believe that reckless driving may have led to this collision in Cajon Pass. A Toyota Camry and a big rig suddenly collided on the 15 Freeway. The Toyota then slammed into an embankment on the side of the freeway before overturning. It finally came to a stop on its roof, officers reported.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found the vehicle upside down with two people trapped inside. Before firefighters could work to get them out, the two were able to free themselves, according to reports. Paramedics with the San Bernardino County Fire Department arrived at the scene and evaluated those involved in the collision. Reports indicated that their were injuries, but non were considered life-threatening.
