Amanda Peters killed in Napa car accident by Susan Jevarian

NAPA, CA (August 2, 2022) – Amanda Peters, 21, of Sonoma, was killed in a Napa car accident by Susan Jevarian, 20, of San Francisco, on July 23 according to Sonoma News.

Authorities say that Jevarian was driving a Cadillac the wrong way on the northbound side of SR-29 south of Napa, while Peters was sitting in the passenger seat.

At around 10:10 p.m. Jevarian drove straight into a Toyota and Tesla heading northbound on the highway. The Toyota driver attempted to swerve out of the way of Jevarian’s Cadillac, but was clipped by the front right side of the vehicle.

The impact between the Cadillac and Toyota caused the Cadillac to spin around into the path of the Tesla. The impact of both the Toyota and Tesla struck the side where Amanda Peters was sitting.

Peters sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital by ambulance, where she unfortunately died the following Tuesday.

Jevarian, who was also injured after being ejected from the vehicle despite wearing a seatbelt, was airlifted to Kaiser Hospital in Vacaville.

Authorities suspect alcohol was a factor in this crash.

The passengers in the other vehicles sustained minor injuries, and the Toyota driver was taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital for treatment.
