Sacramento accident on Elder Creek Rd leaves one dead

SACRAMENTO, CA (May 19, 2022) - A two-car collision left one person dead in Sacramento on Sunday morning. The accident occurred around Elder Creek Road and Florin Perkins Road, where a Ford sedan and Toyota SUV crashed into each other. The cause of the accident remains unknown, but police arrived to find a woman with major injuries. They attempted to perform life-saving aid, but unfortunately the woman succumbed to her injuries. Details of the accident are still under investigation, and it is unknown which vehicle the woman was in, or the condition of the other driver. Santa Fe Springs accident on 5 freeway leaves one dead

SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA (May 11, 2022) - A motorcyclist was killed in Santa Fe springs when it collided with another vehicle on the 5 freeway. The accident occurred on Tuesday when the motorcycle and a sedan collided at around 4:05 p.m. according to the California Highway Patrol. The motorcyclist died on the scene, and the accident caused a significant backup of traffic on the southbound side of the 5 freeway. Pedestrian killed by driver in Downtown LA

LOS ANGELES, CA (May 19, 2022) - A person was killed on Wednesday night in downtown Los Angeles after being struck by what appeared to be an SUV according to KTLA 5. The accident was reported around 9:48 p.m. around the 300 block of South Figueroa Street according to officer Cruz of the LAPD. Officer Cruz says the collision did not appear to be a hit-and-run. Aerial footage showed a white SUV near the scene of the accident with its blinkers on and possibly damage to the hood of the vehicle. The SUV was parked right behind a tent that police set up where the decedent presumably lay. The details of the accident are currently under investigation, and the victim's identity is also being withheld. We will update this story with more details as it becomes available. Hailey Smither of Castaic killed in 5 freeway crash with big rig

CASTAIC, CA (May 12, 2022) - Hailey Smither, 28, was identified as the pedestrian killed on the 5 freeway when she was struck by a big rig. The accident occurred around 2:20 a.m. near Lake Hughes Road on the northbound side of the 5 according to the California Highway Patrol.  According to a CHP report, “A white International Navistar was traveling northbound on I-5 Golden State Freeway, north of Lake Hughes Road at approximately 55 mph, when a female pedestrian ran across traffic lanes and was struck.” It is unknown why Smither was running on foot across the freeway when the truck struck her and launched her several feet forward. An investigation into the accident is ongoing. Dylan Lammers kills cyclist in auto collision near Arroyo Grande (UPDATE)

(UPDATE May 18, 2022): Joshua Thomas Edward Mcfarland was identified as the cyclist who was killed in this tragic accident. ARROYO GRANDE, CA (May 13, 2022) - A 19-year-old male cyclist was killed on Los Berros Road near Arroyo Grande when Dylan Lammers, 41, failed to see the cyclist and hit him from the rear.  The accident occurred at 11:20 p.m., when visibility for cyclists is much lower, on Los Berros Road north of El Campo Road.  The California Highway Patrol reports that Lammers was headed southbound when he failed to see the cyclist on the road and ended up striking the rear of the bicycle.  Although Lammers left the scene of the accident, he did call authorities later to report it and was subsequently arrested at his home.  Liability In Arroyo Grande Bicycle Accidents All drivers have a legal obligation to exercise due care in order to avoid hitting…
