An SUV crashed in Glendale, flying off 134 freeway

GLENDALE, CA (August 12, 2022) - An SUV crash in Glendale sent a vehicle flying off the 134 Freeway and into a building, according to authorities. The accident occurred on Thursday around 6 p.m., says the California Highway Patrol. Authorities say that two vehicles were involved in the crash -- a pickup truck and a GMC SUV. Aerial view of the crash shows a pickup truck with damage to its front end and a trail of debris right behind it. The GMC SUV was shown to be destroyed below the freeway near the building that it struck. There are no reports yet of injuries, or what caused the crash. Riverside Police Officer Matthew Lewis killed in off-duty motorcycle crash

PERRIS, CA (August 2, 2022) - Riverside Police officer Matthew Lewis, 45, of Nuevo, was killed in an off-duty motorcycle crash with a pickup in the Nuevo area east of Perris, authorities said today. The officer was identified by the Riverside County coroner's office as Matthew Lewis. "We are saddened by the tragic and sudden death of our brother, Riverside Police Sergeant Matt Lewis, who died in an off-duty motorcycle accident last night.'' said Chief Larry V. Gonzalez with the Riverside Police Department. WEST HILLS, CA (August 12, 2022) - After a week of hospitalization following a bizarre crash into a Mar Vista home, Anne Heche was declared brain dead at Grossman Burn Center at West Hills Hospital and Medical Center, the family announced today, although the actress was kept on life support so her organs could be harvested for donation. A family representative told Rolling Stone and other media outlets that Heche, 53, was officially declared brain dead Thursday night. Her death came about a week after the actress crashed her blue Mini Cooper into a home in the 1700 block of South Walgrove Avenue around 11 a.m. last Friday, Aug. 5. George Wahb arrested for hit-and-run killing of 77-year-old man in Garden Grove

GARDEN GROVE, CA (August 12, 2022) - A 77-year-old man was struck and killed by George Wahb, 26, of Stanton, who was driving a compact car in Garden Grove today. Wahb was arrested in Stanton after fleeing. Garden Grove Police Department officers were contacted at 12:06 p.m. about a possible hit-and-run traffic collision in the 9500 block of Lampson Avenue involving a black Subaru Impreza, said Sgt. Royce Wimmer. Officers located the victim lying in the street with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, Wimmer said. Woman killed by Safeway truck on Highway 12 in Santa Rosa

SANTA ROSA, CA (August 11, 2022) - A woman in a Nissan Versa was rear-ended and killed by a Safeway truck on Highway 12 in Santa Rosa according to Press Democrat. The accident occurred on Wednesday around 8 a.m. near Dutton Avenue when a driver in a Safeway delivery truck failed to see a traffic slowdown ahead of him. The Safeway truck driver attempted to avoid the slow traffic, but struck the woman in the Nissan from behind, pushing her vehicle into the guardrail and causing it to overturn. The truck proceeded to hit four other vehicles before overturning onto its side. The woman was taken to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead. CARLSBAD, CA (August 11, 2022) - Christine Hawk Embree was identified by authorities as the mom who was tragically killed on her e-bike on Sunday.
