San Diego, CA (August 8, 2023) A man riding a scooter was injured when he collided with a trolley in Logan Heights. The San Diego Police Department responded to the call shortly after 3:00 p.m. in the 3100 block of Commercial Street.

San Diego Police Department Officer Robert Heims said the man was riding his scooter down the street when he slammed into the back of a westbound Light-Rail tram. The victim was riding a 2016 Vespa two-wheeler when he collided with the trolley at a high speed.
Paramedics at the scene transported the 29-year-old male to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries from the crash. San Diego Police do not believe alcohol or drugs are a factor in this accident.
