Santa Cruz, CA (August 17, 2023) A driver sustained multiple injuries after hitting several cars and then crashing into a house on Tuesday afternoon. The California Highway Patrol said they responded to an accident on Green Valley Road, just east of Mesa Verde Drive.

Investigators said a 53-year-old Castorville man was driving when he collided with at least 3 separate cars before he drove off the road and crashed into a house. The driver was injured and taken to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center via Air Ambulance.
The driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, as well a a felony hit-and-run. The occupants of the house were unharmed in this collision.
