Pasadena, CA (August 20, 2023) A 10-year-old boy fell out of a moving bus on Tuesday, August 15, according to the Pasadena Police Department. The incident occurred at approximately 3:15 p.m. near the intersection of Orange Grove Boulevard and Garfield Avenue.
Pasadena Police Lt. Chris Sharma said that two children who were riding the bus were playing with the handle. The bus door opened and one of the children fell out as the bus was moving down the road. Lt. Sharma said the bus was only moving about 15 mph when the child fell.

The driver of the bus immediately pulled over and called 911. The Pasadena Fire Department Paramedics were called to the scene and transported the boy to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating this accident.
