Napa County, CA (August 25, 2023) A pedestrian was injured when a car struck him and continued driving on Sunday morning. The driver, identified as 30-year-old Lester Alberto Valenzuela, of Vallejo, has since been found and arrested, according to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said the hit-and-run collision occurred around 12:49 a.m. on Sunday on Highway 29 near Kimberly Drive. A 59-year-old man was walking on Highway 29 when he was hit by a Pontiac Vibe. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Valenzuela was detained by sheriff’s deputies around 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning. He was booked into the Napa County Jail at approximately 5:00 p.m. with a felony count of leaving the scene of an injury accident.
