Los Angeles, CA (September 12, 2023) An alleged DUI driver crashed into a house in South Los Angeles on Sunday night. The Los Angeles County Fire Department, as well as emergency personnel, responded to the accident around 11:30 p.m.
It is being called a “violent crash” by those who saw the aftermath. It happened near the intersection of 110th Street and Normandie Avenue in the Westmont neighborhood. The is actual video from a surveillance camera that shows the Mercedes SUV slamming through the metal fence on the property and then crashing into the house. Reports indicate that the house sustained major damage in the collision.

In the video, a male driver can be seen. There was also a female passenger. Emergency Personnel arrived at the scene but it is unknown if anyone inside the house was injured. Both the driver and the passenger of the Mercedes were taken to a local hospital.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating this collision, but they suspect the man was driving under the influence.
