Hersperia, CA (October 6, 2023) A motorcyclist was killed on Thursday, October 6, at Phelan Road and Verbena Road. The California Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred just before 10:30 p.m. near Oak Hills west of Hersperia.

A White Honda Pilot SUV hit the motorcycle and continued driving, according to police. The Honda headed westbound on Phelan Road before it finally stopped.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene to find the motorcyclist already deceased. Officers had to close the road and tow trucks were called to remove the damaged motorcycle, which was taken in as evidence.
The case is still under investigation.
