Diamond Bar, CA (October 10, 2023) A motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a semi on the Orange (57) Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol. The fatal accident was reported at approximately 1:46 a.m. on Tuesday morning, October 10th.

Officer Sean Lough of the California Highway Patrol said they responded to the southbound lanes of the freeway and Sunset Crossing. Lough told City News Service that, upon arrival, they found the motorcyclist on the ground. The Los Angeles County Fire Department was called and they pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
The collision caused traffic to be backed up for hours and all southbound lanes of the freeway had to be closed. Officers still do not know why the motorcyclist collided with the semi, but the fatal accident is being investigated.
