Sacramento, CA (October 16, 2023) 2 people were injured when the driver of a stolen Tesla crashed into their minivan on Saturday, October 14th. According to the Sacramento Police Department, the driver led officers on a chase before the collision occurred.

During the pursuit, Sacramento police officers lost the Tesla, but the owner of the stolen car was able to track it and allowed the sheriff’s department to catch up to it and continue the chase. During the pursuit, the Tesla crashed into a minivan that started a fire with two occupants inside.
Firefighters arrived at the scene to help the people trapped inside the minivan. They were both injured but breathing and conscious when they were freed from the minivan. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
