Marina, CA (November 6, 2023) Arturo Noel Porraz II, 30, was arrested early Sunday morning, November 5th, after colliding with two vehicles and fleeing the scene on foot. He was found to be under the influence during the collision that also left one person injured. The crash occurred around 10:40 p.m. on Saturday night, but authorities didn’t catch up to Porraz II until hours later.
It all started in the area of Imjin Parkway and Preston Drive when 3 vehicles collided. The driver of one of the vehicles, a Toyota, was injured in the collision.

Porraz II was driving a red Dodge Durango and following the collision, he opened his door, jumped out and fled the scene on foot. Officers searched the area for hours and finally, he was spotted on Imjin Parkway around 12:41 a.m. on Sunday. Officers began chasing the suspect, but he was able to get away, once again.
Finally, around 2:00 a.m., daylight savings time hit and the clocks were set back one hour, making it 1:00 a.m. Shortly after 1:00 a.m., the suspect was seen again. Officers surrounded Porraz II and were able to take him into custody on Lexington Court.
Porraz had been driving with a blood alcohol level of .08%. He was first taken to a hospital for treatment for injuries he sustained during the collision. Once the medical personnel gave him the “all clear,” he was booked into the Monterey County Jail. He is facing felony hit-and-run charges as well as other charges.
