NORTHRIDGE, CA (NOVEMBER 8, 2023): Six people were injured and one person was arrested in a multi-vehicle DUI crash in Northridge Saturday evening.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred around 6:41 p.m. near Lassen Street and Amestoy Avenue, when a driver crossed into incoming traffic and struck at least two vehicles. That driver was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

A report by the LAPD confirmed that six individuals sustained injuries in this collision, all of whom were rushed to the hospital. One occupant required extraction from his or her vehicle.
The report also indicated that one person is suffering from major injuries, while the five others maintain non-life threatening complications.
Videos from the scene reveal extensive damage to the vehicles involved.
The identity of the arrested driver was not released.
It remains unclear what led up to this collision. The Los Angeles Police Department will oversee an investigation into this violent Northridge DUI crash.
