LOS ANGELES, CA (NOVEMBER 15, 2023): A male pedestrian was killed after being struck by two hit-and-run drivers in the Harbor Gateway community of Los Angeles on Tuesday.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident occurred on Tuesday, November 14th in the area of Normandie Avenue and Knox Street as the victim was walking in the roadway. Reports indicate that at around 9:30 p.m. the man was struck by the first vehicle. This vehicle then fled the scene, making no attempt to stop.

Just two minutes later, the man was struck by a second vehicle. This vehicle also failed to stop and continued on the roadway.
Emergency personnel arrived on scene shortly after the collision, and discovered the man in the roadway in critical condition. Despite their attempts at life-resuscitating measures, the man unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further identifying information about the victim was released.
It is not known exactly why these vehicles struck the man. As the circumstances surrounding this incident remain unclear, the Los Angeles Police Department is offering a $50,000 award to anyone offering information to help solve this crime.
The Los Angeles Police Department will also conduct an investigation into this fatal hit-and-run in Harbor Gateway.
