Orange, CA (November 27, 2023) – Manuel Ortiz and another pedestrian were killed on Thursday, November 23rd, in a tragic DUI crash in Orange, California. According to news source ABC7 the accident took place just after 8:00 p.m. near the intersection with Lincoln Street and Oakmont Avenue.
The Orange Police Department responded to the crash, they reported that 26 year old Humberto Flores was driving a Ford F-250 while intoxicated and collided violently with a parked Chevy Silverado. He or the Chevy also struck two men standing near the parked car, one of which was Manuel Ortiz. Flores attempted to flee on foot, but was apprehended shortly near Oakmont Avenue.

Paramedics were called to the scene and attempted to aid the injured pedestrians. Sadly they both succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the second pedestrian has not been released at this time.
Police arrested Flores for the deaths of Manuel Ortiz and the other pedestrian, as well as for DUI, and fleeing the scene of a crash.
