Herrera and Thomasson were found inside the car, both unresponsive. They were, sadly, pronounced dead at the scene. Sergeant Miles Bailey with the Richmond Police Department said they believe speed was a factor in this fatal crash. Investigators are waiting on a toxicology report to determine if drugs and/or alcohol were factors in this accident.

Rosa Herrera had recently celebrated her 18th birthday and everyone thought she had her whole life ahead of her. They were saddened when it suddenly came to an end in this devastating collision. They have created a GoFundMe to help raise money for funeral expenses, as they mourn her loss.
