Perris, CA (February 16, 2024) A community was left shocked and concerned on Wednesday evening following a hit-and-run accident that left a boy with serious injuries. Authorities said a pickup hit a car before it struck the boy who was walking with his family. This terrible accident happened around 6:30 p.m. on C Street, officers said. The driver of the pickup fled the scene after the accident.

A boy and his family were walking together on C Street in Perris on the evening of Wednesday, February 14th. Suddenly, a pickup came down the road, approaching the family. As it neared 3rd Street, it struck a car and then continued forward until it hit the boy. The force knocked the boy down and his family watched in horror as the pickup drove away.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found the boy on the ground, his family with him. The boy had sustained serious injuries in the collision and was rushed to a local hospital to receive treatment.
