Koreatown, Los Angeles, CA (March 16, 2024) A hit-and-run accident in Koreatown left a 62-year-old man injured and left the community shocked. The accident took place just after 6:00 a.m on February 20th, according to authorities, at the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Crenshaw Boulevard.
The man was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk when a gray SUV approached the intersection. The SUV turned east onto Venice Boulevard from Crenshaw Boulevard and struck the man in the crosswalk, reports indicated. The driver of the SUV then hit the gas and fled the scene, leaving the injured pedestrian behind.
The Los Angeles Police Department arrived at the scene and found the man on the ground with significant injuries. Paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital to receive treatment.
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered to anyone who has information that leads to the suspect’s arrest.
