ANTIOCH, CA (June 16, 2022) – Justin Nartea, 13, of Antioch, was killed while he was on his skateboard by a minivan driver according to Mercury News.
The accident occurred around 8:55 p.m. Saturday on Dallas Ranch Road and Prewett Ranch Drive when a minivan heading north on Dallas Ranch Rd. struck Justin while he was crossing the road on his skateboard outside the area of a crosswalk.
The driver and other eyewitnesses remained on the scene and the driver spoke with law enforcement officials after the accident.
Emergency responders arrived to find Justin suffering from his injuries. Despite their efforts to treat the injured boy, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office pronounced Justin Nartea dead on the scene around 9:10 p.m.
