Aguanga, CA (June 17, 2024) A frightening collision that happened on Saturday afternoon in Aguanga left five people in need of medical treatment.
The crash reportedly occurred at about 3:35 p.m. The driver of the car was travelling southbound on Highway 79 west of Sage Road. It is unclear what happened at this time, but somehow, the car crashed. This caused a three-vehicle collision. We don’t yet know what kinds of cars were involved.
Riverside County Fire Department reports that at least one person was trapped in their car after the crash. When the passengers were freed, three of them were taken to a hospital by ambulance. Two of those people had moderate injuries, and one person was lucky enough to only sustain minor injuries. The other two people had to be rushed to a hospital in an air ambulance, as their injuries were quite severe.
It’s unknown if the driver of the car was one of the people in the air ambulance. An investigation is still ongoing, and more details should be revealed by the California Highway Patrol soon.
