A five-car collision occurred last night on southbound I-15 near Old Highway 395. California Highway Patrol reports that the crash happened at about 11:40 p.m. when a Chevrolet Colorado rear-ended a Nissan Titan. They were in the Number 2 lane.
The impact disabled the Chevrolet, and oncoming cars had trouble stopping. A Volkswagen Tiguan smashed into the Chevrolet. Then, a Toyota Camry crashed into the Volkswagen. Next, a Kia Soul sideswiped the front left side of the Chevrolet.
Tragically, a 32-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Camry was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Camry, a 32-year-old from Perris, was transported to the hospital. Reports say he sustained life-threatening injuries.
