Westminster, CA (June 25, 2024) A man was tragically killed on his bicycle early Friday morning.
The man, a 54-year-old reportedly from Alaska, was riding a bike in Westminster near the Beach Boulevard and 20th Street intersection. About 40 minutes before the sun rose, a tan Lincoln Towncar crashed into the bicyclist. Westminster Police Department responded to the scene at about 5 a.m., accompanied by Orange County Fire Authority paramedics.
Shortly after they arrived, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Lincoln apparently stayed at the scene, and was the one who called the police to report the incident.
At the time of writing, the victim’s name is being withheld until they notify his next of kin.
