OAKLEY, CA (June 23, 2022) – Brian Ortiz, 38, of Oakley, was killed in a motorcycle accident when an SUV pulled in front of him according to East Bay Times.
The accident occurred Thursday, June 16, at around 4:10 p.m. at Laurel Road and Harvest Circle.
Police officers say that Ortiz was speeding on his motorcycle, which may have been a factor in his ability to react to the vehicle that pulled in front of him.
Officers are still conducting an investigation to determine the events leading up to the cause of the accident.
At this time, it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident that killed Brian Ortiz. There are also no details on the identity or condition of the driver in the SUV.
