Fontana, CA (June 28, 2024) Yesterday in the late evening, a frightening collision occurred in Fontana. Reports state that the crash happened just before 11 p.m.
Upon investigation, authorities determined that a person on a motorcycle was speeding along the road in an unknown direction. It then struck a gray Nissan sedan. Details are still emerging–it is unclear exactly how fast the motorcyclist was going, whether or not they were wearing a helmet, if they were impaired or under the influence, or even what side of the Nissan they slammed into. It’s also unclear if the Nissan was moving or stopped at the intersection when the crash occurred.
A security guard nearby said that there’s a possibility that the motorcyclist was fleeing from police in a high-speed pursuit.
Tragically, the crash was so violent that both the motorcyclist and the driver of the Nissan were pronounced deceased at the scene. The fire department had to free the person in the Nissan with the Jaws of Life. Reports have not indicated that any other passengers were involved in this terrible crash.
Update: The Nissan driver has been identified as Richard Malabuyoc Flora, a 39-year-old.
